Instructions
Start with spreading a layer of about 15 cm of rough raked garden waste or softwood bark mulch in the bottom. Kitchen waste like peelings, coffee grounds, vegetable matter, etc, backyard clippings, leaves are acceptable Dry all garden weeds before putting them in the composter to prevent them from germinating in the composter A good rule is to try and cover all kitchen waste with a layer of softwood bark mulch Add mulch or loose yard waste with grass clippings and leaves to loosen the heap to maintain an odourless composting cycle Occasionally add some natural fertilizer for the benefit of micro-organisms vital in the heap Pole the heap montly with a spade for sufficient moisture content When emptying the stone, lift and turn it on its side, removing some of the top non-composted layer to be used as a starter or the next composting cycle
